The Wisconsin Badgers will link up with the Purdue Boilermakers Monday night for a Big Ten battle. The two squads are above .500 when talking ATS, as Wisconsin comes in 7-5 ATS and Purdue 7-6. All the attention is on Purdue right now in the Big Ten. They have surrendered just one loss this season and come into this contest 12.5 point favorites against Wisconsin. The Badgers have enjoyed success this season as well, going 10-2 overall in their first 12 games of the campaign.
The Badgers have been led by sophomore Johnny Davis. He is averaging 20.8 ppg, 6.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest. Overall, the Badgers have been a middle of the road offensive team, ranking 51st in adjusted offensive efficiency. The defensive end of the floor has been solid for the Badgers this season, which bodes well for a Wisconsin team that will have to pull out all of the stops tonight against this superior Purdue unit. The Badgers rank 39th in the country in adjusted defensive efficiency.
Purdue has been a machine this season, as Ken Pom has them rated first in adjusted offensive efficiency. Guard Jaden Ivey is leading the Boilermakers this season with 16.7 points per game. They are also bolstered by a pair of big men that can score at a high rate. Center Zach Edey (7-foot-4) averages 14.9 points per contest, while power forward Trevion Williams (6-foot-10) averages 13.3 points per game.

The Badgers play tough on the defensive end of the court, and I will look for them to slow down this Purdue offensive unit that has been flying high so far this season. Wisconsin plays at a very slow pace, which will limit the amount of possessions the Boilermakers get here tonight. The market has Purdue's spreads heavily inflated at the moment, and this Wisconsin team should be able to keep it within this larger number tonight. This will be a hard fought game that should come down to the wire. Take the points with the Badgers tonight.
